Blessings to you, Your Eminence, Timothy Cardinal Dolan!

Our prayers are with you at this important time in our Church's history. My husband and I are devout Catholics and New Yorkers, now living in CT. We are so grateful that you are at the helm of Catholics in America...Bravo, Cardinal Dolan.

By the way, we started our morning today at Mass with our beloved Msgr. Robert McCormick, a retired NY Archdiocesan priest, who is the chaplain of the Convent of St. Birgitta in Darien CT. Today was Msgr. McCormick's 66th anniversary of his ordination. A wonderful day to be sure.

Blessings to you and gratitude for your example of Christian values and inspiration,

Dear Cardinal Dolan,

I write to you from far off California (La Quinta) to urge you to support the candidacy for pope of Archbishop Georg Ganswein. This critical time demands a creative response and as long as we are breaking centuries-old precedents this winter let's break another one and go outside the College of Cardinals for the new pope. Another frail old man just won't do. I saw you on TV today saying the new pope should have his head near the clouds but feet firmly on the ground. Allow me to interpret your words crudely--we need a pope who will kick some butt. Enough is enough.

Georg Ganswein would be an earthquake of a choice, one that would capture the world's attention and thrill millions who do not normally expect to be thrilled by Catholicism. Please give him your most prayerful consideration, and do some door-knocking for him.

Yours for a happy conclave,
