Cardinal
Did you have to overshadow the Resurrection of Jesus Christ is political palaver, repeated already in numerous media settings?
This could have waited for another day, not the Day of Days.
Thank you,
Chuck Murphy

Your eminence, as we close in on Divine Mercy Sunday, could you not arrange to pray outside of an abortion mill where the forces of darkness, sin and slavery are headquartered. Your visible and public presence as well as your prayers, would signal to all of us to pay attention to wickedness and how it exists right in the heart of our New York community. Thank you for everything you do.

Your Excellence,
It is such a pleasure to read your posts. On the precipus of full secular progressive take over of the US, it is so important that you speak as you do.
The media and the hollywood elites have had the pulpit so to speak for too long.
You have the position to take hold of the pulpit and stand strong and speak for all of us Americans. We Catholics are behind you. You were correct during your interview with Bill O'Reilly:we look for the Church to be there with it's moral character and strong doctorine.
Please pray for us, the stregnth of the US Constitiution and reigious freedom. At this point, I feel all we have left is prayer.
I do believe God is on our side... Without the founding father's belief in religous freedom and individual responsibility, we can not help others which is the essence of Christianity.
God Bless you, Ha

Naturally, Bishops have every right to speak out on political issues of the day, as Cardinal Dolan and Archbishop Gomez did this past week regarding the plight of illegal aliens and the consequences they now face after having broken the law.

How much more appropriate might it be for our Bishops as a Group, now headed by Cardinal Dolan, to focus themselves on a political issue that actually causes, every day, more of the very problems they seem most concerned about addressing: poverty, war, injustice, etc.

That issue, of course, is infanticide in our country, occurring at the rate of over one million unborn men and women murdered each year in their mother's womb (or during the actual birthing process thanks to President Bill Clinton and his Democrat accomplices). Bad enough that it's occurring at all in the eyes of God, but here it has actually been pseudo-'legalized' since 1973 thanks to nine Supreme Court justices who will live forever in infamy.

After nearly forty years, one doubts that our Bishops will ever 'meaningfully' take on this outrageous sin as their major focus in the political arena; a sin that has been called a 'god-given 'right' in the written Platform of one of our major political parties.

Is legalized abortion just too lacking in political correctness or too contentious
an issue for them to stomach given our secular, Democrat-led government and their partners in major media?

But there our Bishops go, back into the political fray, protesting against the results of heinous sin's like abortion, rather than addressing the root cause.

Is anyone else out there as dejected as I am by our 'post Vatican II - Alice in Wonderland Church'?

Are we still the stuff of Martyr's?
