I want to share with you a story a very simple Missionary of Charity nun told me.

We were talking about the Rosary and I told her about how in early 1964, Brazil was within days of falling to Communism when the archbishop of Rio de Janeiro, Cardinal Jaime de Barros Camara, broadcast radio appeals for prayer and penance. “The response of Brazilians rose and rose until it culminated in a vast march of 600,000 Rosary-praying women in Sao Paulo on March 19,” according to Our Lady of Fatima’s Peace Plan from Heaven. On April 1, the Communists fled the country.

This MC nun’s response to my story to this day makes my head turn, I will never forget what she said. She said to me, “Joe, what if just one simple woman prayed the Rosary faithfully, imagine the possibilities”.

Yes!!!

Cardinal Dolan - don’t concern yourself with numbers. One person can change the world, in fact, one person did change the world!!

Your brother in Christ

Joe

Thank you so much, your Excellency for this great link. Can you point us to any organizations/ministries that are directly involved in assisting those in peril for their faith?

Cheers!

And locally here in America (and parts of Europe), the decline is self inflicted. For sure our societies have become very coarse and vulgar but the Modernists in the Church have reduced our sacred faith to a bunch of hand holding singers of Kumbaya and the social justice doctrine while our Churches empty out.

It seems we stand for very little when it comes to our Lord's call to preach throughout the world baptizing in the name of the Father . . . . . . .

We now preach I'm OK you're OK. Doesn't matter what group you belong to. We're all going to Heaven holding hands. Forget the fact that our Lord said that those who do not eat His Body and drink His Blood have no life in them.

The "invincible ignorance" mantra may work in places like sub Saharan Africa but not in the U.S. and Europe.

Our educational institutions as well as our catechetics are horrible. Modernist so called teachers and scholars rule the day here. Literary Criticism. Historical Criticism, "Q Source" fantasy still rules in our schools.

Our children are learning to criticize instead of evangelize. I know. I had three children go through the system in NY. I took the NY Bible Study Program. Heterodox teaching after heterodox teaching.

This is why I state repeatedly in these blogs Your Eminence. As the President of the USCCB, and now Cardinal, you have enormous influence. Get us out of this mess before we lose another generation. You've seen the statistics in the article you posted. It's going to get worse. Help Us!!!
