Yes, Catholics were suspect and openly rejected by the elite of that day...and they still are! Those who openly stand for the Catholic way of life, live it, and oppose the received wisdom of our secular society will very often find themselves ridiculed, opposed and marginalized in social gatherings, the workplace, and even in their own families. That is why I will be at the rally on March 23 in lower Manhattan. This rally will take place at noon in 120 cities to oppose the HHS mandate. 17 Catholic bishops will speak in their respective cities. Hoping you can join us. It is non political, inter-religious and family friendly. For more information please see http://standupforreligiousfreedom.com/ The Sisters of Life and Father Benedict Groeschel will be there.

Dear Cardinal Dolan,

Best wishes for you and your work. St. Patrick's Cathedral is a wonderful church, and I pray that he renews his patronage for you and us here in the U.S.

At Fr. Zuhlsdorf's blog today, there is a prayer through St. Joseph for care of Priests. (He had a note to come over to this blog, so I'll add it to my other two stops.) Anyway, I will include both your name and work with others.

Thank you for your voice of reason.

May I, as a Canadian Catholic, say how much you are giving strength and encouragement to priests and laity over here.
