The Archdiocese should seek out committed Catholic lawyers who will argue for what is just regarding reimbursements to Catholic schools. For whatever the reasons, New York State lawmakers, in general, resent giving moneys to Catholic education despite the service we have provided and continue to provide for thousands of youth. There are too few Catholic lawmakers in New York who will stand with the Church, the faith-tradition that remains the gold-standard of objective truth and justice.
We need to recruit Catholic lawyers and physicians as well to defend and stand with the Church in dealing with other issues.

Thank you, Archbishop Dolan, for your steadfast commitment to and advocacy on behalf of Catholic schools. Our prayers are with you, Dr. McNiff, and all of the Catholic educators in the Archdiocese of New York during this Catholic schools week.
