The Way

Tuesday, October 4th, 2011

Today my co-host, Father Dave Dwyer, and I had the pleasure of interviewing Martin Sheen for our radio program, A Conversation with the Archbishop for The Catholic Channel on Sirius XM Satellite Radio. Martin is one of our best known American actors, and he was here to talk about his new movie, The Way, which opens this weekend here in New York and then eventually around the country.  The Way is a moving and beautiful story of a man who undertakes to walk Camino de Santiago – The Way of Saint James, in Spain.  I was especially touched as Martin described working with his son, Emilio Estevez, who not only appears in the movie but directed it as well.

Also joining us on the show was Monsignor Kevin Codd, pastor of Saint Thomas More Catholic Student Center at Washington State University in Pullman, Washington, and author of the book, To the Field of Stars: A Pilgrim’s Journey to Santiago de Compostela.

I hope you can tune in to the show on Sirius XM 129 this Thursday at Noon, or during one of the replays – Saturday at 6 a.m. or 1 p.m., or Sunday at 9 a.m., 1 p.m., or midnight (all times Eastern)
