Dear Archbishop Dolan,
I have watched you for years now & I can only hope & pray to meet you one day! It would ba an honor. You are what Archbishops & Bishops are called to be, Holy of Holy’s and fun loving at the same time. You are where you are bacause God needs a big man with a big smile doing big things. Thanks for being you instead of being what you think you ought to be. Your inspiration & devotions to Our Lady’s Rosary has brought everyday people, like myself and partners at TheRosaryStation to be evagelist in our own right. We truley believe we have been called to draw people to Our Ladys Rosary & it is honorable work that we love. God Bless You & keep talking about Mary, I’m sure She loves it.

Thanks Archbishop Dolan! I’m the NFP Program Director in my diocese–Charlotte, NC. I’m cosponsoring with the diocese of Charleston, SC, a talk for our clergy and physicians on care of couples struggling with infertility. The morally acceptable helps available are really much healthier and much more successful than objectionable techniques, like IVF. There is much hope for couples! We are blessed to have several doctors in NC who are NFP-Only. But, they are only a small fraction of the number of Catholic doctors. I’ll be forwarding your blog entry to a physician who was the former president of the Catholic Medical Association here, to use as he writes a cover letter for the invitation I am sending to 300 Catholic physicians here in NC to attend the infertility workshop. Thanks so much for your excellent guidance!

While it was very heroic of Gianna to sacrifice her life for her unborn child, I hope that is not the expectation for all the rest of us? I’ve been reading about the excommunications in Phoenix where a woman had to terminate her pregnancy at 11 weeks to save her own life. I think the woman had an absolute right to preserve her life, and I hope that is not being questioned outside of Phoenix.

Your presence and touch in the lives of the ordinary people is marvellous. I participated in the solemn Mass on the 23rd and I saw in you a man of God who shepherds to his flock with deep love and with a sense of solidarity. May God bless our Archbishop. I will have fond memories of you when I get back to Sri Lanka.

Great article! I wish I could find a provider in my area that actually has NFP experience…it’s so hard, because my drs kind of roll their eyes when I say I’m not interested in BC…Also LOVE Archbishop Dolan, I met him several times when he was the Archbishop of Milwaukee, WI…

God bless you, Bishop Dolan, for highlighting your visit to The Gianna Center and for your archdiocese’s support and promotion of NFP! May there be many more such centers spring up across the country. Women deserve so much more from their physicians than is commonly “served up” by most.

I had the great honor to be in Rome studing at the Domus. We were able to obtain two tickets to go to the Beatification of Gianna Molla! I was able to speak with her daughter as well as her husband. I was thrilled to be there and so happy to be with her family. I taught about Gianna when I was teaching in the Religious Ed Program in the Parish where I was serving. She is a great model for the culture of life!
