The New York Blood Center honored the Archdiocese of New York with an award at Yankee Stadium Thursday night, recognizing the 100,000+ donations made at Archdiocesan-sponsored blood drives since the year 2000.
Monsignor Kevin Sullivan, executive director of Catholic Charities New York, accepted the award on behalf of Archbishop Timothy Dolan during an on-field presentation preceding the Yankees-White Sox game.
In honor of the Archdiocese’s commitment to and support of the New York Blood Center, the New York Yankees have donated four home game tickets to every Catholic parish in the New York Archdiocese.
