Reach Out Now to Help Victims of Hurricane Sandy

Bookmark and Share

As soon as Hurricane Sandy hit New York, Catholic Charities mobilized staff and coordinated with volunteers to reach out to people whose homes were flooded and livelihoods ruined.  Catholic Charities is serving meals to hungry New Yorkers, providing crucial supplies and hand delivering disaster relief information to communities, parishes and individuals, non Catholics and Catholics alike.

Your donation is urgently needed to help people hurt by Hurricane Sandy. Donate now to provide vital food, shelter and supplies to those devastated by this disaster.

“Catholic Charities has been in the forefront of helping the disaster victims,” said Executive Director of Catholic Charities Monsignor Kevin Sullivan.  “Our workers, trained in disaster response, are prepared to meet the human needs such disasters cause.”

Funds will be restricted solely to help the immediate relief and long term recovery efforts on behalf of those impacted by Hurricane Sandy.

Funds will be separately audited to ensure transparency and accountability.  Catholic Charities is certified by the Better Business Bureau as meeting all the standards for the acceptance and use of charitable donations.

  1. Our Mayor and other community members would like to help the victims of Hurricane Sandy. We were looking at having a blanket drive for these victims. Is there anything that you can tell us that would help these victims or things that they would help these individuals.

Please e-mail me at the above address with more information on what individuals need.
