Catholic Charities joins today in celebrating the feast day of Pope Saint John Paul II.
The second longest-serving pope in modern history and first non-Italian since the 1500s,is credited for miracles including healing a French nun from Parkinson’s disease. He is also credited for helping end Communist rule in his native Poland and eventually all of Europe.
