Cleaning supplies are especially needed by victims of Hurricane Sandy. So, as part of Catholic Charities Hurricane Response mobilization, St. Martin de Porres Parish hosted a “Clean-up Products” drive for Catholic Charities Community Services in Dutchess County. Youth and adults organized donations and helped transport them to the Poughkeepsie Catholic Charities office.
Over Thanksgiving weekend, Catholic Charities staff loaded three SUVs with the supplies and transported them to Staten Island disaster relief centers to help those hardest hit by the super storm.
They plan to repeat the 200-mile round trip from Pouchkeepsie to Staten Island to make another drop off later this week.
Can’t make it to a donation drive, but still want to help with disaster relief?
